Kylin Weekly Update #10: Polkadot Parachain

Project Update

This has been a monumental week for Kylin Network, in light of winning the parachain auction for #25 via sourcing for crowdloan from the community. The Kylin community and team, in the process of securing a parachain slot, made history. The entire DOTSAMA ecosystem became familiar with the Kylin project over the past week. 

Kylin Network became the first project in the last seven parachain auctions to max out its bid cap of 150,000 DOT, accruing over $1.1M. Also, Kylin Network became the 3rd project in the history of Polkadot to max out its bid cap, a status only achieved by blue-chip Polkadot projects such as Moonbeam and Efinity.

Kylin Polkassembly

Thanks to our new Parachain status, Kylin now has its dedicated Polkassembly subdomain, which will function as Kylin’s Community Hub. It will be the ideal destination for community discussions, where decisions concerning the future of Kylin Network will be voted upon. Vote on governance, referenda, and motions as it concerns Kylin will take place on Kylin’s Polkassembly.

Team Kylin is Going to Berlin!

The Kylin Network is proud to Sponsor the DeData Salon, which is part of the Berlin Blockchain Week. And as such, the Kylin team members will be making the trip to Berlin to promote the project by speaking at the event. Team members already confirmed for the trip are the Tech Lead, Sylvain Cormier, and Strategic Lead, Dylan Dewdney. Other team members are in the process of securing visas and other necessary documentation to join up with the rest of the team.

Over the week, Kylin Network received a lot of joy and attention from the Dotsama and the entire crypto community, congratulating the Project on such a remarkable feat. In this section, we’ll highlight some of the most notable mentions.

Several enterprising Media Outlets covered the Parachain victory announcement, such as Cryptoslate, SuperCryptoNews, CryptoNews, and CoinStackNews.

Also, several Twitter influencers within and outside the Dotsama ecosystem covered the Parachain victory announcement. The biggest of all was Polkadot, as they were the first to congratulate Kylin on Twitter on the parachain auction victory.

Polkastarter also took to Twitter to congratulate Kylin in its weekly round-up of Polkastarters News. Paradigm Hub also covered the story in its biweekly update on Twitter. Polkadot Space, Polkadot Nation, PolkadotNews, and a host of others also covered the story.

In Other News:

In other News, Kylin Network was mentioned in this YouTube video concerning its Pichiu Crowdloan Distribution. Fearless Wallet announced that Pichui, Kylin Network’s Canary Network token, is now supported on their platform.

Lastly, the winners of the v2 Kylin x Onfinality contest have been announced. All contestants have received their coupon codes to enjoy a $50 to start running Kylin nodes on the Onfinality platform.
