Kylin Network Achievement in 2022

Hello Kylians, and happy holidays!
As the year closes, we want to reflect on all we've accomplished as a project building a composable and configurable multi-level oracle infrastructure on the Dotsama ecosystem. From community initiatives, parachain auctions, partnership unveiling, and product launches, it's been an exciting year for Kylin Network, despite the bearish market sentiments and meltdown. We can't wait to see what the future holds and are grateful for the support of our community. Here's a quick look at some of our highlights from the past year:
It was an epic year, and an eBook might surface if we were to document all our achievements in a post. We decided to highlight key achievements, which our awesome design team has made a graphical representation of. In all the items highlighted, we will still be unable to touch on every achievement in great detail. We’ll only run through the key ones.
Highlights of Key Achievements in 2022
ERC20 $KYL Staking launched February - October 2022.
Sequel to a Tweet thread published earlier on the official Kylin Network Twitter account, announcing the successful contract audit of the Kylin staking page. On February 19th, 2022, the Kylin team announced the $KYL staking program. The program, which was subject to coming to a halt once Kylin secured a Polkadot Parachain win, came to a close in October, weeks after Kylin secured its Polkadot Parachain status.
Pichiu, Kylin’s Canary Network, Win A Parachain Slot on Kusama Network
Arguably, one of Kylin’s most crucial achievements in 2022 was securing a parachain status for the first time. The Kylin community, team, and supporters locked up enough KSM to help secure slot 31 on Kusama.
ERC20 KYL Listing on Kucoin
Due to the high cost of transaction fees on DEXs at the time, the Kylin team decided to migrate $KYL liquidity from existing Dexs like Uniswap to a tier-1 exchange in Kucoin, making the KYL accessible to more traders, users, and the community at large.
Kylin Network Presents at Blockchain Oracle Summit and Polkadot Hacker House
Kylin Network was present in over ten offline events across various corners of the globe. One of the most important was the presentation at the Blockchain Oracle Summit in Berlin, Germany.
A few weeks later, Kylin was present in New York for the Polkadot Hacker House, where the then-Tech Lead presented to other parachains on what is being developed at Kylin Network.
Kylin Network Secures Polkadot 25th Parachain Auction.
The most important accomplishment of 2022 would be securing the parachain auction in such grand fashion, breaking records in the process. Massive support from the amazing Kylin community.
Kylin Network Sponsors DeData Salon
Kylin Network sponsors DeData Salon which is part of the Berlin Blockchain week. We had members of the Kylin and DeData core team members speak, and host various conversations during the event.
PCHU Reward Distribution to $KYL Holders
The Pichiu team highlighted details to the PCHU token distribution, which was designed to incentivize the community members who hold ERC-20 KYL tokens. There was an onboarding process put in place by the team which was meant to simply direct the holders of the Ethereum-based KYL to a substrate based wallet address, where they will receive their PCHU tokens. The initiative was a success!
Closing Points
As the remarkable 2022 draws to a close, we believe a recap benchmarking our achievements, in light of our initial ambitions we published in a tweet at the start of the year will be a great way to appraise how far we’ve come. We’re aware not all item was accomplish, as unaccomplished items will be reviewed, and if still relevant to the direct Kylin hopes to move towards, this will be enlisted in the 2023 Achievement board for team Kylin.
